Alpha Decay
Alpha Decay is a french live sound engineer and DIY modular synth addict based in Barcelona.
Well known in Barcelona’s modular underground scene, she plays live performances with her modular system.
Sometimes flying to a ravy electro techno noisy punchy sessions, she also loves to dive into more down tempo experimentations with others electro or acoustic musicians, violinists, saxophonists, or also create and play live for dance performances like for flamenco dancer Juan Carlos Lérida, or Butoh dancer Marlene Jobstl.
Alpha Decay has performed in many festivals like Modular day Barcelona (Spain), Ensolab festival Alicante (Spain), Dutch modular fest (Nederlands) or Razzmatazz club BCN opening to Anthony Rother.
In 2023 she went on tour with her special mate Moritz Simon Geist to play together duo live with her synths and his iconic sonic robots project in Spain, Portugal and Finland.
In 2020 she created and won a research grant for Wave game, an electronic device that allows to make modular music from lights and dancer movements.
Always attracted by trying new musical experiences, her music is always inspired by the proper moment and vibes, even a replayed track never sounds the same depending on the moment and the audience energy, that’s why for her, modular synthesizer is the best machines ever to surf the waves together.
