An On Bast (Anna Suda) is a composer, producer and live performer based in Wrocław, Poland, whose work resists easy genre definition. For over two decades, she has cultivated a distinctive voice within electronic music that transcends boundaries – one rooted in discipline and spontaneity, consciousness and intuition. Her sound unfolds as an evolving journey, balancing mechanical rhythm with emotional depth, creating music that is both club-ready and deeply introspective. A defining element of her artistry is her dedication to fully live performance. She performs primarily using analogue synthesizers – particularly modular systems – alongside drum machines and samplers. Through real-time sequencing, hands-on sound design and the intuitive shaping of each moment, she transforms the stage into a space of genuine creation. Her live sets are not pre-arranged sequences but improvised performances that invite surrender without passivity – demanding attention while offering catharsis. Her international presence has been shaped by performances in clubs and at festivals worldwide, from Berlin’s legendary scene to major events such as Fusion Festival, Sónar, Piknic Électronik, Amsterdam Dance Event and Garbicz Festival, as well as tours across Australia and China. She has released music on respected labels including Awesome Soundwave, founded by Carl Cox, with eleven solo albums and numerous EPs to her name.
