Nervous Whistle

Nervous Whistle is a solo audiovisual project based in Shanghai, working across semi-modular synthesis, handmade tape loops, field recordings, and live video mixing as one layer of composition. Its visual language draws on dithering and analog signal decay – processes that intentionally lose information – as a way of asking what memory keeps, and what it quietly drops. Each set is built live and degrades in real time, so no two shows untold in exactly the same way.

Nervous Whistle 是常驻上海的视听独奏项目，创作围绕半模块合成器、手工磁带循环、田野录音与现场视频混合展开，将其视为同一层创作。其视觉语言借用抖动算法与模拟信号衰减—这些主动丢失信息的处理方式—来探问记忆留住了什么，又悄然舍弃了什么。每场演出都是现场搭建、实时衰退而成，因此没有两场演出会以完全相同的方式展开。
