I’m Alex, aka THESSIAN
I am organizer of Modular Commune in Beijing, together with lovely tamiX (tamix.live)
I like trance, I like jazz, I like death metal and hip-hop. I am on a journey to make sense of these influences in modular live performance. I perform in China and internationally. Musically originally a bass player in Beijing’s underground rock scene, my modular journey started in 2023 and has since been the center of my attention and creative efforts.
I designed a small module in 2024, after I realized there are no 3U-1U converters above 4hp of convertibility. It is called the 1UP and can be found on my site, on modulargrid and on most large retailers in EU and Northern America.
