Ayshém 艾闪

An independent electronic music producer based in Beijing, China, who doubles as a lyricist, composer, and vocalist.

The name “Ayshém” derives from a discovery: the artist found that “shém” is the translation of the Chinese character “闪” (Shǎn, meaning “flash”) in a minority language. “Ay” corresponds to the Chinese character “爱” (Ài, meaning “love”). Thus, “Ayshém” was adapted to the homophonic Chinese surname “艾” (Ài).

•   In junior and senior high school, Ayshém was initially influenced by independent and alternative music genres such as punk and rock. A chance encounter with 8-bit music at an underground Livehouse sparked a deep, immersive fascination with electronic music, leading to the creation of 8-bit music demos using a Gameboy NanoLoop.

•   Ayshém enjoys exploring underground club parties worldwide, absorbing the cultural vibes and sonic impacts of club culture and underground electronic dance music. Between 2017 and 2020, Ayshém gradually began experimenting with electronic musical instruments like synthesizers and modular systems.

•   In 2022, Ayshém started producing electronic music using a computer.

•   In 2023, Ayshém founded the personal electronic music label ZEIT HAUS (House of Time). Under the name "Ayshém," four electronic music singles were released via this independent label. One of these singles, U R MY POSSIBILITY / 你是我的可能性, marked Ayshém’s first musical collaboration, featuring Radiax—a rising star in China’s D&B (Drum and Bass) scene. The mixing and mastering of this single were done in partnership with Shen (founder of Ran, a renowned independent electronic music label in Beijing) and Brad M. Seippel at Brevity of Motion Sounds studio.

•   In 2025, Ayshém will release the first independent electronic music album, Perspective II / 二次透视, under the personal label ZEIT HAUS.

Ayshém(艾闪)来自中国北京，是一名兼作词，作曲，演唱的独立电子音乐制作人。Ayshém名字来源于某天在一本书的前言里发现shém是中文字“闪”的小语种翻译，Ay是中文爱的意思。故化为中文同音姓氏“艾”。

最早在初高中时期，受朋克摇滚等独立另类音乐影响。偶然在一次地下Livehouse中听到８Bit音乐，由此对电子音乐产生沉浸式着迷，并开始用GameboyNanoLoop制作８bit音乐小样。喜欢穿梭在世界各地地下Club派对中，被Club文化和地下电子舞曲音乐浸染冲击，2017－2020年偶然开始逐渐接触到合成器及模块等电子乐器。

2022年开始尝试用电脑制作电子音乐。2023年创立个人电子音乐厂牌ZEIT HAUS（时间之屋），并用Ayshem之名，在个人独立厂牌ZEIT HAUS发行4首电子音乐单曲。其中一首单曲Ｕ R MY POSSIBILITY／你是我的可能性邀请中国Ｄ&Ｂ新生代新星Radiax展开首次音乐上的合作，混音母带与北京知名独立电子音乐厂牌Ran创始人Shen，及Brad M. Seippel at Brevity of Motion Sounds工作室合作完成。

2025年在个人音乐厂牌ZEIT HAUS发行第一张独立电子音乐专辑Perspective II／二次透视。
