Ayshém 艾闪

Ayshém from Beijing, China, Ayshem is an independent electronic music producer, songwriter, composer and vocalist.

The name “Ayshem” originated from a book preface, where she discovered that “shem” is a minor‑language translation for the Chinese character shǎn (闪). “Ay” echoes the Chinese character ài (爱), meaning “love”; together they form the Chinese‑sounding surname Ài (艾).

In her early middle‑ and high‑school years, she was influenced by punk, rock and other independent alternative music. After accidentally hearing 8‑bit music at an underground livehouse, she became deeply immersed in electronic music and began creating 8‑bit demos using a Gameboy with NanoLoop.

She has since wandered underground club parties around the world, deeply shaped by club culture and underground electronic dance music. Between 2017 and 2020, she gradually began exploring electronic instruments such as synthesisers and modular systems.

In 2022, she started producing electronic music on a computer. In 2023, she founded her own electronic music label ZEIT HAUS (Time House). Under the name Ayshem, she released four original electronic singles through ZEIT HAUS. One of them, U R MY POSSIBILITY, marked her first musical collaboration with Radiax, a rising Chinese drum & bass producer. The track’s mixing and mastering were completed in cooperation with Shen, founder of the well‑known Beijing independent electronic label Ran, and Brad M. Seippel at Brevity of Motion Sounds studio.

In 2025, she released her first full‑length independent electronic album Perspective II / 二次透视 via ZEIT HAUS, alongside two entirely improvised modular albums.

She is also a professional classical musician, proficient in cello and piano, and has performed and participated in exchanges and festivals in many countries, including France, Spain, Italy, the United States and Canada.

From 2016 to 2019, under her legal name Li Jincan, she collaborated with numerous prominent Chinese independent musicians as a performer and creator, releasing various singles and vinyl LPs. Deeply inspired by contemporary art and culture, she has performed cross‑disciplinary shows in a wide range of contemporary music and art spaces. In 2025, she performed modular sets at the Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre during the Montreux Jazz Festival China, as well as at the 10th edition of Modular Meets in Beijing.

Her collaborative credits include: Spice (Chen Chenchen), Su Zixu, Xiao Ying (AME), Pepper, LIMAM, Yapacc, Shen (Ran Music Label), Sun Lingsheng, Radiax, and others.

In her daily life, she enjoys exploring perfume, philosophy, mysticism, history, contemporary art and other spiritually rich, thought‑provoking subjects, seeking refuge from the restlessness and suffocation of contemporary society.

Ayshem（艾闪）来自中国北京，是一名兼作词，作曲，演唱的独立电子音乐制作人。Ayshem名字来源于某天在一本书的前言里发现shem是中文字“闪”的小语种翻译，Ay是中文爱的意思。故化为中文同音姓氏”艾”。

最早在初高中时期，受朋克摇滚等独立另类音乐影响。偶然在一次地下Livehouse中听到8 Bit音乐，由此对电子音乐产生沉浸式着迷，并开始用GameboyNanoLoop制作8bit音乐小样。喜欢穿梭在世界各地地下Club派对中，被Club文化和地下电子舞曲音乐浸染冲击，2017-2020年偶然开始逐渐接触到合成器及模块等电子乐器。

2022年开始尝试用电脑制作电子音乐。2023年创立个人电子音乐厂牌ZEIT HAUS（时间之屋），并用Ayshem之名，在个人独立厂牌ZEIT HAUS发行4首电子音乐单曲。其中一首单曲U R MY POSSIBILITY / 你是我的可能性邀请中国D&B新生代新星Radiax展开首次音乐上的合作，混音母带与北京知名独立电子音乐厂牌Ran创始人Shen，及Brad M.Seippel at Brevity of Motion Sounds工作室合作完成。

2025年在个人音乐厂牌ZEIT HAUS发行第一张独立电子音乐专辑Perspective II /二次透视。俩张纯模块即兴专辑。

与此同时，她也是一名职业古典音乐演奏者，擅长大提琴，钢琴等乐器，并在不同国家进行交流访问和音乐节演出，其中有法国，西班牙，意大利，美国，加拿大等。

2016-2019年用本名LI JIN CAN，以演奏者和创作者身份，受邀与中国众多独立音乐人合作发行了一些音乐单曲及黑胶唱片专辑。同时深受当代艺术文化沖击，并在众多当代音乐文化场景进行跨界演出。2025年开始以模块形式在苏州文化艺术中心瑞士蒙特勒音乐节和北京第十届交流方式进行演出。

其中合作音乐人有：香料一陈陈陈，苏紫旭，肖瀛-AME，飞椒，LIMAM，Yapacc,Ran Music Label-Shen，孙凌生，Radiax等。日常喜欢挖掘香水，哲学，神秘学，历史，当代艺术等灵性高且易引人深思的事物，隔绝当代社会的浮躁与窒息。
