冯满天

Feng Mantian began studying the violin, zhongruan, and yueqin at a young age. At 15, he was admitted to the China National Traditional Orchestra. In 1987, he founded one of China’s first rock bands, “The White Angels” with friends Liu Yijun, Liu Junli, and Zang Tianshuo. He then dedicated half of his life to playing the ruan, focusing on modern expressions of traditional Chinese music. After 17 years, Feng Mantian restored the Tang Dynasty ruanxian, formed the Mantian Band, and premiered the concert “Down and Up the Mountain” touring over a hundred performances. He has performed on international stages including Carnegie Hall and the Pompidou Center. He has recorded and released albums such as “Listening to Ruan” and “String songs: Down and Up the Mountain”. He composed the film music for the film Mr. No Problem, which won the Best Artistic Contribution Award at the Tokyo Film Festival.

冯满天，年少学习小提琴与中阮、月琴，15岁考入中央民族乐团，1987年与刘义君、刘君利，臧天朔等朋友组建中国第一批摇滚乐队“白天使乐队”。随后投入半生精力弹阮制阮，致力于中国传统音乐的当代表达。

冯满天历时17年复原唐代阮咸，组建了满天乐队并创排了“山下山上”音乐会，巡演百余场。曾在包括卡内基音乐厅、蓬皮杜中心等国际舞台演奏。录制发行《听阮》《弦歌满天山上&山下篇》等唱片。

在创作方面，冯满天为电影《不成问题的问题》创作电影配乐，该片在东京电影节上获得最佳艺术贡献奖。
