GUAN

GUAN (Boyang Guan) is a Hangzhou-based electronic music producer and sound artist. Guan graduated from the China Academy of Art. He has developed his own way of thinking through his play with sound and other media. He looks at digital society and the relationship between man and machine. GUAN is known for combining genres and his ‘high-tech naturalism’, a sound system based on real experiences and future imaginings. His radical sound experiments create a strange, organic and insane landscape.

GUAN’s creative works are not just music, but also exploring different tools and materials. GUAN has performed in many different ways, including audio-visual, synthesizer live, and DJ. He has also worked with other artists and organizations, such as LazyBackHome, Martin Goya Business, and BRDG, etc. He also started the experimental club music label FunctionLab (2017-2024). His music has been released on Modern Sky, FunctionLab, Merrie Records, and The Collection Artaud, with three albums and several EPs.

GUAN also works as an artist creating video and interactive instruments, as well as software development. He founded an independent instrument studio, Analog Landing, and has developed several Max For Live plug-ins and interactive sound programs.

GUAN（管博扬）是一位居住杭州的电子音乐制作人和声音艺术家、声音工作室Analog Landing主理人。毕业于中国美术学院。擅长通过对声音和其它数字/模拟媒介的运用以形成了自己独特的创作语言。他的作品普遍关注数字社会以及人机关系。GUAN以融合多种音乐风格和他“高科技自然主义”的创作理念而著称，这种声音系统基于现实体验和对未来的想象。他激进的声音实验创造了一种奇特、有机且疯狂的景象。

GUAN的创作不局限于音乐，更是对不同工具和材料的探索。GUAN的表演形式多种多样，包括Audio Visual、合成器即兴现场。他还与其他艺术家和机构合作，例如郭采洁、BRDG、LazyBackHome和Martin Goya Business等。他还创立了实验俱乐部音乐厂牌FunctionLab（2017-2024）。他的音乐作品发行于摩登天空、FunctionLab、美丽唱片、有沅音乐和The Collection Artaud等唱片公司。管博扬也是一位涉猎影像艺术和互动乐器创作、软件开发的艺术家。他创立了声音艺术工作室 Analog Landing，从事音乐与媒体艺术教学，并开发了多款 Max For Live 插件和互动声音程序。
