LVNTE (Lavante)

LVNTE is a South Korean electronic musician, composer, producer, and live set artist.

Born in Seoul, LVNTE began his musical journey through classical piano at an early age under the influence of his mother, a piano teacher. His introduction to synthesizers during his teenage years opened the door to the world of electronic music. He subsequently expanded his musical scope into arranging, composing, orchestration, and music production, earning a Master’s degree in Composing for Film & TV (MMus) from Kingston University in London.

Drawing from his classical foundation and electronic roots, LVNTE crafts Dark Melodic Techno characterized by cinematic narrative, dynamic progression, and strong melodic focus. Moving beyond merely playing back pre-recorded tracks, he delivers live performances integrating analog synthesizers, drum machines, and Ableton Live—breathing with the audience and reflecting the venue’s atmosphere in real time, much like a live band.

The moniker LVNTE originates from the Italian word Levante, meaning “the east” or “the wind rising from the east,” symbolizing a new direction and a fresh voice emerging from the Orient. Simultaneously, it connects with the word Lavante (to wash away), embodying the ethos of stripping away the unnecessary to leave only the essential. For LVNTE, music is the process of seeking that very essence.

LVNTE 是一位来自韩国的电子音乐人、作曲家、制作人及 Live Set 演出艺术家。

LVNTE 出生于首尔，受钢琴教师母亲的影响，自幼便开始学习古典钢琴。十几岁时初次接触合成器，由此踏入了电子音乐的世界。此后，他的音乐版图逐步拓展至编曲、作曲、管弦乐配器以及音乐制作领域，并在英国伦敦金斯顿大学（Kingston University）取得了影视配乐硕士学位（MMus in Composing for Film & TV）。

立足于古典音乐底蕴与电子音乐根基，LVNTE 专注于创作极具电影配乐式叙事感、强调结构起伏与旋律线条的 Dark Melodic Techno。他的现场并不局限于播放已完成的既定曲目，而是融合了模拟合成器、鼓机与 Ableton Live，如同乐队演出一般，实时与观众共同呼吸、感受现场氛围并将其融入音乐表达之中。

“LVNTE” 这一名字源自意大利语中的“Levante”，意为“东方”或“从东方吹来的风”，象征着全新的方向以及自东方发出的崭新声音。同时，它也与意为“洗涤”的“Lavante”相呼应，蕴含着褪去杂质、仅留本质的意涵。对 LVNTE 而言，音乐正是一场探寻本质的旅程。
